The Orphan’s Court is the division of the court which hears probate matters, trust matters, adoptions and guardianships of minors and incapacitated individuals.

As a practicing attorney, Lori Serratelli handled adoptions, guardianship of minors and incapacitated persons and probate disputes. As a Judge, she handled these matters as well on a regular basis.

Rule 1.6 of the Pennsylvania Orphan’s Court rules, allow for mediation as a way to bring agreed upon resolutions in these matters. In complex and contentious probate, trust, guardianship, adoption disputes, the parties can agree to binding arbitration as well to resolve their differences.
